Vadai

Vadas:



Ingredients:
1 cup urid dhal
1 small piece of ginger
2 green chillies
Curry leaves
Peper seeds
salt

Method:
1.Soak the urid dhal for about 2 hrs and grind the dhal into a fine batter (do not add water while grinding because if the batter is watery then u cant make holes in the middle of the vada).
2.Cut the ginger into fine pieces and then add it to the batter.
3.Cut the green chillies into very small circles and add curry leaves , 1 spoon of peper seeds and 1 spoon of salt to the batter and mix the batter.
4.Take small ball of the batter and tap it to flat placing on a polythene sheet (if you dont get banana leaf ).make a hole in the centre of the batter with ur finger.
5.Heat oil in a pan ,the put the flattened batter in the oil and deep fry it until it turns golden brown.
6.Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
