Baby Purse

CUTE COIN PURSE:
I made this for my neice Shakthi as an christmas gift.This is very handy cute little coin purse which kids may love to have.I have used a matching pink button for the purse and have attached a bow at the corner of the purse.

Things Needed:
1 ball of 50 gms of 8 ply wool
A pair of 4 mm needles

Proceedure:
Using the 4 mm needles cast on 20 sts .
Work 10 rows of the stocking st.
Work 10 rows garter st.
Repeat the last 20 rows twice(so there will be 60 rows all together now).The square measurement is approx 8 cms .Now start working in stocking st,decrease one stitch at each end of next and following alternate rows until 8 stitches remaining.Now decrease one stitch at each end of every row until 2 sts remaining.
K2tog.Fasten off.

Finishing:
Join side seam so that cast on edge of purse joins at base of last section of garter stitch and side edges are matching.Sew in ends .Fold flap over and fasten with a small button .(pushing button through fabric to close purse).
